The Mindanao Journal is the flagship research publication of Mindanao State University – Main Campus in Marawi City, Philippines. Established in 1974 through the pioneering efforts of Dr. Mamitua D. Saber—the university’s first Dean of Research and founder of the Institute of Research for Filipino Culture (IFRC) and the University Research Center (URC)—the journal has served as a vital repository of scholarly works across various disciplines. It continues to uphold MSU’s mandate as a research-driven institution by fostering academic discourse and knowledge dissemination.
The Mamitua Saber Institute of Research and Creation (MSIRC) oversees the publication and management of the Mindanao Journal. Beginning in 2025, the journal will be available in both print and online formats. Additionally, all previous volumes dating back to 1974 will be accessible online free of charge.
