THE ETHNIC DIMENSION IN AN INDUSTRIAL SETTING: MUSLIM WORKERS ON MINDANAO

Abstract

This study attempts to show the salience of the ethnic dimension in an industrial setting. It focuses on industrialization on Mindanao and examines how this process is affecting Muslim workers. In the exploratory phase, a survey of industries in the Cagayan de Oro-Iligan growth areas was conducted. In general, the survey results show the low employment of Muslims.
